I've decided to dedicate all my cooking in this blog!
To start, I am posting one food that I have been craving for since last week: SUSHI. Japanese foods hold dear in my heart because these foods were what my friends and I made in high school whenever we had gathering (e.g: takoyaki, sushi, okonomiyaki, etc). I had the opportunity to once again create this food =)
Since there was no appealing recipes on the Web that I could find, I just made it with my knowledge. Usually sushi rice uses small grain rice and rice vinegar, but I only wanted to use the stuffs in my house, so I omitted the vinegar and used jasmine rice instead.
The ingredients:
1 cup of cooked rice
2 sticks of imitation crab
1 egg
Nori (seaweed)
Furikake (I used ebi fumi furikake)
Bulgogi Sauce
Mayonaisse
Sriracha (I used chili garlic)
The steps:
1. Pan-fry the imitation crabs, then chop them into small pieces
2. In a bowl, mix the imitation crabs, mayo, and sriracha
3. Beat the egg and fry it on a pan
4. In another bowl, mix rice with furikake
5. Prepare a sheet of nori, spread the rice on top of nori, put in the imitation crab mix, egg, and bulgogi sauce
6. Roll the nori and cut into 8 equal pieces
It was very simple and quick, yet the taste was incredible! (At least, good enough to satisfy my crave LOL) It would have been better if I had used small grain rice and rice vinegar, but oh well... I was not planning to make a high-class sushi.
The good thing about sushi is that you can put in different kinds of ingredients inside and be creative!
Try making a sushi because it is fun and delicious!
